Sophia Shealy

Sophia Shealy is a writer from Virginia and a graduate student at Colorado State University, where she is pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling and Career Development with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Sophia’s fiction has been published in Peatsmoke Journal, Pangyrus, and The Florida Review. She was a finalist for the Sewanee Review’s fifth annual Fiction, Poetry, and Nonfiction Contest and won The Florida Review 2024 Editor’s Award for Fiction.

Sophia graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Florida State University in May 2023, where she concentrated in fiction. She received her Bachelor of Arts from William & Mary in 2020. While there, she majored in English and minored in Film & Media Studies.
